Maison Margiela Spring-Summer 2027

For Spring Summer 2027, Glenn Martens explores the tension between structure and fluidity at Maison Margiela, reworking traditional Parisian atelier techniques through a contemporary lens. Sculptural outerwear sets the tone, with tailored jackets and trenches combining rigid corset panels with softly draped collars and lapels. This interplay extends to silk T-shirts, knitwear and long dresses, while menswear echoes the same architectural lines through deconstructed tailoring and concealed details. In contrast, open-knit tunics and cut-out silhouettes explore a more unstructured approach to the body. Floral prints and unexpected material combinations add further layers to the collection, which moves between experimentation and wearability while remaining rooted in the dialogue between hard construction and soft draping.
